About Winter Olympics 2026 (Milan-Cortina)
The 2026 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXV Olympic Winter Games, will be hosted by Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo in Italy from February 6-22, 2026. This marks the third time Italy has hosted the Winter Olympics, following Cortina d'Ampezzo in 1956 and Turin in 2006.
Athletes from around the world will compete in winter sports including alpine skiing, ice hockey, figure skating, snowboarding, bobsled, luge, and many more. The Games will feature state-of-the-art venues spread across the Lombardy and Veneto regions.
Milan-Cortina 2026 emphasizes sustainability and will utilize many existing venues from previous Olympics, making it one of the most environmentally conscious Games to date.
